Factory diverter valves are ok to hold the factory standard 8lbs of boost, however with anything more than that we recommend replacing them with aftermarket style blow-off valves.
So, your N54 plastic charge pipe blew out? Replacing it with another factory plastic pipe will only result in the same blow out – the 335i and 135i have been plagued with this issue from day one, even on stock boost.
We have a simple, easy fitting and good looking solution – an aluminium pipe that comes with all necessary clips, mounts and hoses for quick hassle free fitting.
